 Jo
is a 9 month old spayed female calico, and she has the personality to match
her coloring! She's feisty and passionate, loving and opinionated, all in a
petite package. Jo showed up at her foster mom's house one evening and hung
around until she was taken inside. After a week with no one responding to
"found cat" posters, she officially took up residence. At adoption events,
Jo gets very frightened and responds by growling and hissing at anyone who
wants to see her. However, at home, she is relatively easy to handle
(sometimes she nips when she gets irritated) and likes to spend time with
her foster mom. Jo takes time to warm up to other cats, but once she
adjusts, she enjoys their company. She also likes some dogs, although not if
they get too pushy about sniffing her.
Because Jo can be cantankerous, she probably would do
best in a home with older children who will leave her alone when she needs
space.
